The Gleneagles Hotel - Overlooking the beautiful cliff gardens and with panoramic sea views, the Gleneagles offers 4-star guest accommodation within Southend's tranquil conservation area. Gleneagles is a Grade II listed building, which has now been completely refurbished, restoring it to its former glory. The location is perfect for both business and holiday travellers, with the town, transport links, theatres, quality restaurants and the pier/sea front all just a few minutes' walk away. The hotel's coffee house and residents' bar is a comfortable place to enjoy the view and relax with the papers. A full range of coffee and tea is served with cakes, light savoury lunches or snacks. Unfortunately, due to the age of the building, the Gleneagles hotel does not have a lift.

Toiletries and towels are provided. The Barn Annexe has good access to London, Cambridge, Bishop's Stortford and Harlow. Free transfers can be arranged to Stansted airport during fixed hours. An excellent village pub is nearby, serving lunch and dinner and there is a golf course a short drive away from the annexe.

The hotel is a short walk from Chelmsford town center and the county cricket ground and is conveniently located near the A12 and M25 motorway. Homelye Farm - Homelye Farm is 15 minutes from Stansted Airport, Leez Priory and Maidens Barn. All the cosy guest rooms are on the ground floor, in converted farm stables. Homelye Farm is built around 2 courtyards and vehicles can be safely parked outside your room. It provides a peaceful, comfortable stay in a relaxed, friendly and safe atmosphere. The individually styled rooms have spacious en suite facilities, digital LCD TVs. The rural accommodation is also well-located for the M11 and Braintree.
